Università Cattolica participated in the Global University Summit

The event was held on October 26 and 27 at the Campus of Notre Dame University
A prestigious initiative organized jointly by the Pontifical Academy for Life (PAV) and IBM saw Università Cattolica as the protagonist. On October 26 and 27, the IBM Technology Ethics Lab at Notre Dame University (USA) hosted the Global University Summit, where best practices for more ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) were shared.
During the Summit, the universities present signed the Rome Call for AI Ethics, the strategic document that aims to support an ethical approach to Artificial Intelligence and promote a sense of responsibility among organizations, governments, institutions and the private sector.
Università Cattolica was represented by Ciro De Florio, Associate Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science and member of the Scientific Council of the Humane Technology Lab, who spoke during the Education panel, one of the three roundtables together with Research and Policy. Among the Keynote Speakers was Luciano Floridi, Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford and member of the Scientific Council of HTLab.
