From Higher Education To Impact: Italy–Kenya. Collaboration For Innovation And Sustainable Development

Summary

On 17 April 2026, the final event of the ITACA project, “From Higher Education to Impact: Italy–Kenya Collaboration for Innovation and Sustainable Development,” was held in Nairobi, bringing together representatives from academia, government institutions, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of both countries.

Promoted by Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and implemented in partnership with the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), the project aimed to foster international cooperation in higher education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The initiative forms part of the university’s broader Africa Plan, which is based on equitable partnerships and the co-creation of sustainable development solutions.
