SACRU Working Group AI

As part of its research activities at the international level, the Humane Technology Lab, through Director Giuseppe Riva, will be a member of one of the Working Groups of the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU).
SACRU is an international network of eight Catholic universities: Australian Catholic University, Boston College, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Sophia University, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Universitat Ramon Llull. The Alliance's main activities are research, internationalisation and university education.
SACRU's research activity focuses on topics with a high impact on society and academic reputation. Specifically, research collaboration between SACRU universities is promoted, facilitated and encouraged through transdisciplinary working groups.
Chaired by William Hasselberger (Universidade Católica Portuguesa) and Micah Lott (Boston College), the working group "Artificial Intelligence: Agency and the Human Person" will examine the topic of artificial intelligence on the basis of a holistic approach that includes several scientific areas: Philosophy, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Sociology, History and Ethics.
