Ravi Ammigan is the Associate Provost for International Programs and an Assistant Professor in the College of Education & Human Development at the University of Delaware (UD). With over 20 years of experience in international higher education, he has held a number of leadership and administrative positions in student and scholar services, education abroad, and enrollment management. He currently directs UD’s Center for Global Programs and Services and leads the university’s internationalisation strategy and global engagement efforts. Ravi’s primary research focuses on the experiences of international students, with a focus on campus living, learning, and support services. He is editor of the book “Cross-Cultural Narratives: Stories and Experiences of International Students” (OJED, 2021) and co-edited “COVID-19 and Higher Education in the Global Context: Exploring Contemporary Issues and Challenges” with Roy Y. Chan and Krishna Bista (STAR Scholars, 2021). He has presented widely at international education conferences and has been active in professional organizations such as NAFSA: Association of International Educators, where he served as Chair of the Knowledge Community for International Student & Scholar Services in 2015. Born and raised in Mauritius, Ravi left for the United States in 1997 to pursue his undergraduate studies as an international studenst himself. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kendall College (USA), a Master’s in Communication from Michigan State University (USA), and a PhD in Higher Education Internationalisation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy).

Amanda Murphy, Director of CHEI, is professor of English Language at the Department of Foreign Languages at Università Cattolica in Milan and Brescia. She holds a doctorate from the University of Birmingham and is an experienced PhD supervisor and external examiner. An active promoter of Study Abroad and Exchange at student and faculty level, her latest research interests within the field of internationalisation problematise distinctions between English-Medium Instruction as an internationalisation strategy and Englishisation and the internationalisation of academic staff.

Christopher Ziguras is Professor in Higher Education at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His research deals broadly with the internationalisation of higher education, across four main areas of focus: the global diffusion of policy ideas and regulatory approaches; the regulation of cross-border educational flows; the impacts of technological change on higher education teaching and learning; and the international recognition of professional qualifications. Chris has worked extensively with industry bodies, professional associations and government agencies on a wide range of projects and partnerships to jointly undertake research, teaching, professional development, policy advocacy, student mobility and work placements. In recent years he has worked on projects and partnerships with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the British Council and Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation. Chris was President of the International Education Association of Australia 2015-18 and received the IEAA Award for Distinguished Contribution to International Education in 2022.
