This European project is on Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation (SUCTI) with a focus on the development of training in internationalisation for administrative staff in higher education. Keep up to date with the project via the SUCTI Newsletter and the SUCTI website.

SUCTI Open Seminar - 28 May 2019

This open seminar held at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, focuses on the role of administrative staff in internationalisation and draws on the learning from the SUCTI Erasmus+ Project. It is held in conjunction with activities which bring together administrative and academic staff to exchange ideas and experiences about what internationalisation entails for their particular function in their institution.

Original survey and findings
This article by Fiona Hunter, Associate Director of CHEI, sets out the findings of a survey conducted within the SUCTI project which included interviews with international directors and administrative staff at both junior and senior level. It appears in the Winter 2018 issue of International Higher Education (Number 92).

Train the Trainers
The SUCTI partners met in Barcelona 27-28 November 2017 to organise a Train the Trainers week on internationalisation for administrative staff. The workshop was held in Poznan, Poland 9-13 April 2018. Three staff members from each of the partner universities were selected to take part and will be trained to train colleagues at their own institutions on internationalisation of higher education. Since then, training sessions have been developed and held at the member universities by those trained at the SUCTI workshops.

Training administrative staff
All the partners in the project have begun to hold training sessions for their administrative staff so that they understand the full context of internationalisation and the value of their input to the whole process at their institutions.
