Fortalecimiento de la internacionalizacion entre las universidades europeas y latinoamericanas
Strengthening internationalisation between European and Latin-American universities

The overall aim of this three-year Erasmus+ project is to strengthen internationalisation through collaboration between European and Latin-American universities. The FORINT project was launched in 2016 and is being undertaken by a consortium made up of 14 institutions led by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), based in Brussels. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, through its Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation (CHEI), is one of five European institutions taking part in the project. Two universities in Panama and seven institutions (6 universities and the Ministry for Higher Education) in Cuba complete the group.

CHEI conducted an initial needs analysis of the Latin-American partners, on the basis of which a wide range of actions is being planned, such as workshops, training, job shadowing and study tours.

CHEI hosted a series of intensive training sessions at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore's Brescia and Milan campuses. The sessions focused on strategic international partnerships that can facilitate internationalisation of the Latin-American partner institutions and strengthen cooperation with Europe.

A coordination meeting of the consortium was held at the same time.
