eHealth4all Award: second place for HTLab
An important recognition arrives for the Humane Technology Lab, the "think-tank" of Università Cattolica created with the aim of investigating the relationship between human experience and technology. The Laboratory, directed by Professor Giuseppe Riva, ranked second in the IV edition of the Prize eHealth4all for digital preventiontag. In fact, the Covid Feel Good application, developed by HTLab, was awarded immediately after the MyCupMarche project.
The app consists of a self-help protocol that uses virtual reality – a "Secret Garden" – to combat the psychological distress generated by Covid-19 in patients or those with post-infection damage. It is a virtual therapy (DTX) being validated simultaneously in 13 countries; The results in the first 4 countries, out of 200 subjects, show that the use of the app, which is free, contains depression and anxiety. It is estimated that in Italy it has been used by about 1500 users to date. The prizes, consisting of souvenir plaques, were presented at an online event as part of the Digital Health Summit.
